Is today the day

We live amongst the chaos, day to day. Finding the time for ourselves seems, well, not on our list of "what we are doing today" Yet we look in the mirror, sometimes with tears in our eyes, sometimes angry with ourselves, sometimes just overwhelmed by the enormity of the task we have ahead of ourselves to be more than we are today, We didn't see ourselves here, in this place. So instead of doing one thing better than we did yesterday for ourselves, making one better food choice today, one walk around the block, one less fizzy drink, one less biscuit with our coffee. We eat for comfort and then we continue to look at ourselves with tears, anger and frustration. We beat ourselves up with more gusto than anyone else would and we wonder why things don't change year to year.

So my question to you" Is today the day"? Is today the day, you smile at yourself in the mirror because you started on your journey to a better, higher quality of life. Is today the day that you make a better choice with your food, or drink that water instead of a sugary drink. It really does just start with one better choice today than yesterday.. You won't see massive results today or tomorrow, but you will have a change of heart and that is enough to get you started. It didn't take a week to get to where you are now, so why do we continue with the "lose 5 kilos in 5 day"  diets that make us feel worse than we did when we started. Its a journey, it can start today if you want it to... Be gentle with yourself, be kind, be positive, surround yourself with people who want you to succeed. Smile in the mirror. Then day by day make better choices, one choice at a time.. Let today be your day..

Is today your day?... Let it be  :)

With Thanks

on Wednesday, 08 December 2010.

I thought a lot about this first blog and was always going to make it something profound and earth-shattering. however I have come to the place where it really should be about saying thank you to all the fantastic people who have helped us make this dream come true...

What started as an idea a long time ago has only beeen achieveable thanks to the many hands, heads and hearts of the people who have touched us along the way..

So this blog is a big thank you to, friends who have kept us sane. Family who supported us in many ways, web designer Heather James from Introspect Design, who's beautiful work stands testament to itself.. Leanne and Rob Fulton from Lactic Acid Web Design  who's patience and training was just fantastic.( I wasn't always nice:)) and who we are now moving into other ventures with... Royaye Hodges and the team at the Heirophant in Canberra, who taught me how to be still and calm and who's guidance and support has changed my life and who I am.

So with that said, that is the end of our first blog. Nothing profound just simple gratitude for the journey, that this idea has taken us on, the amazing people along the way and all that is manifesting before us day by day, moment by moment..
